    A+ for Raceseng

Not affiliated but wanted to share my great experience with Jarrett, Ryan and the team at Raceseng.

Got my B8.5 S4 a couple weeks ago and knew the first mod I wanted to do was to install a heavy weight shift knob.

Needless to say I had a great experience. Their shop was immaculate and everyone was extremely nice. It was like talking with a bunch of friends while I was there.

In the end, it was great to check out all of their products first hand. I never like just buying things on the Internet, sight unseen, and hoping that I'm happy in the end.

I ended up with their engraved "slammer" shift knob and couldn't be happier.

FYI, you do not need to take apart the center console in order to get access to the shifter . You can actually slide a butter knife in between where the leather shift boot meets the console and the leather boot just pops out.

If anybody wants to check out the weight of the shift knob, I'm happy to meet up in the Philly burbs

Is that shit going to feel like a cigarette lighter on your hand when park your car in the sun for an hour?

I never really noticed it. Sure, it's warm if it's in direct sunlight during a summer day, but after the a/c is on or windows down for a minute it cools down. I don't have tinted windows yet, but would image that would make a difference too. I say that any momentary discomfort is vastly outweighed by the performance.
