Without being hated... Opinions on a muffler delete?

Hey guys, the B5 really is a beauty, she just isn't making enough sound. I don't want obnoxious piss off the neighbors.. So before you say it, muffler delete is likely not the good idea to go with.. However hear me out. I have an unknown 18 psi tune, and a factory exhaust / intake. I like the "gurgle" if you will, of a muffler delete, coming from a 94 Trans Am..

My question is, would a muffler delete with the stock resonator and resonated tips be obnoxious at low rpms? I'm aware four bangers with turbos MAY easily sound like a tractor, and I obviously don't want to ruin my baby by making her sound like a Honda.. So, once again, I know I am stupid, but I figured at the least I could take the muffler off and weld a MF one on? opinions please.

If not a muffler delete, would performing the airbox mod increase growl? I would run tubing from a couple of holes if I did it, but I wouldn't drill out the whole bottom of the box. Aftermarket Dv (unknown)

Yes it will sound like a tugboat all the time and you will be laughed at everywhere you drive. Get a proper intake/exhaust call it a day....and really a 94 trans am?!

Haha okay thank you, but yes I've got a 94 Trans Am "GT" 6 speed for my sunday driver, but she's currently off of the road since I am replacing the distributor.

If I were you I would cut out the res, leave the muffler.

Delete the resonator to let YOU know you have a loud car. Delete the muffler to let EVERYONE ELSE know you have a loud car.

Do the muffler delete and enjoy no raspiness and drone. Leave the resonator as is.

EDIT: Because turbo cars, S4 is relevant. This is Catless and rear muffler delete

Because its hack as hell?

My suggested alternative would be to either get a real intake, or grab a cone filter, some silicone fittings, and a heat shield and make something thats actually going to make a difference. Intakes dont do jack shit on these cars though, even with a gtrs eliminator you will see minimal gains over the stock airbox with an aftermarket solution.

I run a High Flow Cat, Resonator, w/o a Muffler. Sounds good. Not too loud but loud enough.

I've got a Milltek system and I've removed the resonator, sounds like a God damn crop duster when I hit boost. guys I'm racing (at the track blah blah) can't hear their own cars over mine. I'm putting the resonator back in at some point soon. My $.02

Chopped the muffler off last night and it just sounds very deep not very loud with a few quiet crackles sometimes. It's now at a shop getting the resonator deleted properly and the tail pipe done properly. I'll post a video when I get it back later today
