    Airbag Sticker Removal

Many threads on this in different sections of the forum, but I hadn't seen one in C7 section. Plus, different cars, different headliner materials so I thought I'd post this. Others have used IPA or goo gone, goof off but I have used acetone in the past so went with that.

I have the black, normal / non-alcentara headliner.

With a different car I own i took the visors off, used an iron on high with steam and a terry cloth. The stickers came off in one piece, then I used 100% acetone and a tooth brush to remove the small amount of residual adhesive.

On the S6 I couldn't get the little plastic cover covering the screw off, so gave up and opted to leave the visor in the car this time.. Initially, I went with the method I used with the other car. I tried to hold an iron, on high heat / steam with a terry cloth between the iron and visor but this didn't really work that well. So I grabbed the fiance's tooth brush and start blotting an edge of the sticker to let the acetone soak in. Then using the tooth brush starting at the corner, start to roll the sticker off. It takes some time, but it comes off great. I'll take a look again today but last night at time of these pictures there was just a faint shadow where the sticker was. Took about an hour for all 4 airbag stickers.

I did this and I found that just using Rubbing Alcohol works best!
Don't use any heat apparatus because you may end up melting the plastic. Not good!
