    Gear gate stuck

I'm on an enormous road trip... last night I'm driving through Montana and luckily get stuck in Jordan. I tried to downshift to go slow through the town and once I pulled a gear lever out of 5th gear I could not get into any other gear. The car would very subtly want to move in the direction of forward or reverse if I really pushed hard on the shifter. I put the car in the air with the help of some locals and vibrated and shook the shifter linkage. All of the sudden the linkage slid into the transmission freely. With the motor off I was able to depress the clutch and move into and out of the gears. It happened once more after that and I did the same thing again, I turn the motor off and depress the clutch and I was able to get into and out of gear. Since then the car has been perfect. What a strange circumstance. I never lost pressure in the slave, it feels the same.

Your clutch took a dump and is not releasing. Looks like you're buying a new clutch before you continue your trip unfortunately 😕

So far over 300 miles later the clutch is working good.
