Exclamation Timing Belt - Extra Bolt

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I changed timing belt, tensioner and water pump on my 2003 A4 B6 1.8t and have a bolt left over. There are 5 identical bolts, 3 for the water pump and 2 for the tensioner piston. I had 6 and 1 is left over.

I searched extensively with everything apart and could not find where it might go.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    John

Perhaps the stud and nut that mount the tensioner pulley? You say 5 identical. And you accounted for all of those.
