    Audi A4 2006 Passenger site axle questions

    Gents,
    Do I need to replace this axle I hear some clicks sometimes but not when turning just random driving ? Should I replace both axle or not And where should I get a good axle ?

    That boot is totally trashed. You can pull the axle and get a rebuild kit assuming things look ok. Way cheaper than replacing the axle. Lots of debate on OE vs aftermarket. I personally only go with OE axles but they are way more expensive. Raxles is a good alternative for rebuilt OE axles.

    Thank you sir ; I will just buy a replacement axle from NAPA if they have one , rebuilding it may not come out as good as new one since I never done one before

    Its really not that hard. There is a diy somewhere on here. I think it was flykits who posted it. Worth retaining your OE axle.

    Don't!! I just bought two.. Straight shit one was the wrong size the other was a Napa one an seized up going in.. I would say get a rebuild kit an do it yourself. I have gone through 3 different after market oem axles and they break or seize up going in.. Straight shit

    Get the rebuild kit not a hard job at all. Did mine for the first time last year.
