So I've just notice this on my center console. Whenever I pull up the center console the two metal rods slide down and scratch the material. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to fix this?

It looks like the armrest itself is scratching the base? Mine extends forward the same but I don't have those marks on the rear. Does the arm rest feel loose? If it is fairly new and under warranty I would have the dealer check it out maybe?

You still under warranty? There is a TSB that looks like it covers this :

Unfortunately it's not under warranty. Yes the arm rest is pretty loose. The arm rest is extended in the picture and I pushed the one rod back in to show what it was supposed to be like but left the other one out. When the rods slip out and I pull the arm rest up the metal rods scratch the base.
