My "new" S4 b6 from Japan

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Been here a while now, about time to show my car.
Always wanted one since they were introduced, finally in the financial position to maintain one
Problem was/is I moved from the Netherlands to aruba 5 years ago and there are no s4's on the Island (not even an official audi dealer)
Importing these without inspecting them in person is pretty stupid especially in a country where there are no parts available,
so against everyone's advice, I still did it. Ordering parts in US is a bitch, but not my only car, so

Took me about a year to find a low mileage one. In US it was pretty impossible to find a low mileage one.
In Aruba you see a lot of Japanese imports, and for low mileage cars I was recommended a trustworthy car export company in Japan by a friend.
Never thought to look there because I didnt want a RHD car, untill I discovered they also have LHD cars in Japan.

I immediately found one with 73000 km (45000 miles) for 5800 usd and decided to pull the trigger. Fully prepared for something to be wrong with it,
I received a car as mint as a 10 years old car can be. already put 2500 miles on it, have heard start up rattle less then 10 times, and not even half a second.
    Exceeded all my expectations.

Tiptronic which was almost a deal breaker, but now it really doesnt bother me at all ,Not the color I wanted, unpainted door blades which I dont like, and the aftermarket soundsystem is japanese. 17 inch audi wheels which I have replaced. With 18 VMR (I know cheapo, but I like the looks, and international shipping and import makes cheapo still not so cheapo)

Pics from seller and a pic with VMR, I want It lower but I already Hit a rock that did some radiator damage so I dont thing it's gonna happen.
Looks so bad on 17's lol

I can safely say it's the cleanest S4 B6 in Aruba, because well.. the only S4b6 in Aruba

    Wow.
Beautiful car, you should put a lift kit on it...
Or maybe just bigger rims with 50 or 60 sidewalls.

    Really? that sucks.
I also heard that import duties on cars with big engine displacement are crazy over there. 180% if you go over 3000cc or something.

Yup it's crazy you only get a break if you're a returning resident .. I live in the US my mom lives in Jamaica I thought about buying a car to leave there when I visit but it would be too expensive for something I drive 1 or 2 times a year .. Oh also no bikes bigger than 600cc's

My buddy in New Zealand picked up a RHD B6 auto Avant (red!) from Japan. He's not hurting for cash which is the only way it makes sense to run something that gets 19 to the gallon in that country - nearly $8 a gallon last time I looked. Parts there are no problem though - turns out NZ has a really high per-capita number of RS models - they have more RSs than Ss

It literally looks like it just left the factory floor. Those seats seem like they've never been sat in, and the trunk space never used!
