AWE Exhaust installed

Holy crap it sounds so good!!!! I was worried it'd be too loud and ruin the vibe the car has going, NOPE its just right! I did the install in my garage which took about 2 hours, and as you can see AWE is kind enough to supply some tasty treats with the order.

Now as nice as the system is my ONLY complaint is the directions are kind of vague, it led to some head scratching and a call to AWE to ask if we had to re-use the factory exhaust collar from the downpipes to the new section....that was kind of a pain in the ass to slide on but wood and a hammer took care of it. Just need to wait on the rear valance that was backordered to show up and i'll be one happy camper. I was surprised that under WOT I get the DSG farts with the 8spd transmission...that made my day!! When I get a drive by video I'll post but here this with the first start.

Seem like the tip stick out a lot, but it might be the camera angle too.

Ok wait. You have an a7... 3.0T What year? What exhaust did you get from awe ? And you get the kick back engine exhaust noise ( farts ) on slowing down like the s7 4.0TT ????? I need more video. The more I mid my car the more I want

I have it (touring exhaust) on my 3.0 and don't get that noise when when slowing down

Also has anyone seen someone install and not use the tips to keep the stock look (C7.5)? I did but haven't seen anyone else so far.

Yes '13 A7 and I get the farts on shifts and sometimes downshifts, maybe due to the APR tune or intake I don't know. And it's just the touring exhaust with factory downpipes.

So just wanted to post an update. I've put about 2k miles on the exhaust and the tone has changed to a nice deep note and still sounds amazing. Just did the first road trip this past weekend and cruising at 85 you can't even hear the exhaust! ZERO drone and the wife the entire trip never once made a comment on the noise levels, and she's rather particular about things like that. And maybe its tune/intake/exhaust related I was averaging almost 30mpg the entire trip

Great to hear! i know it's subjective...but can you comment more on any drone during city driving or anywhere in the RPM band? Or is it pretty mucy non-existant other than when you really get on it and wake up the exhaust?

There really isn't an RPM area where there is drone.
