    Hi all,

Wondering if there is a link to the procedure that the dealer goes through with this?

Mine goes on Monday and I'm curious as to what they do exactly. Drop the whole engine/trans/suspension?

I'm so nervous that I'll have further issues and have to keep taking it back to the only dealer that is an hour away.

The other problem is the fact that I'm so picky and hope they don't scratch/ damage anything. Most Tech's really don't give a crap.

I usually work on my own stuff but obviously not this time.

    Mike

There was a video of a tech doing the whole job in time lapse posted a few months ago. I had the job done on my 2009 A4.....I can appreciate your concern....but don't sweat it. When I got mine back I could hardly tell it had been in the shop for three weeks....plus all the misfire issues and CELs and adding oil every week will be cleared up....most haven't had issues.

My Avant will be going in soon for this as well. I think you should concern yourself more with other things you want them to change while the engine is out. I've purchased new motor mounts and the updated timing chain tensioner and having those installed. Should run like new when they're done with it.
