    Just opened her up to clean. In surprised to see not a lot of buildup compering to some pictures on forums. 115k on the clock

    Is this good/bad?



    Cleaned all and put it back together

    Wow. I'm about to tear into mine with 212k. We'll see how bad it is.

    Any tips before I start?

    What method of cleaning are you taking? ( Wire brush, Scraping with a flathead, Media Blaster etc...)

    Are you replacing the manifold gaskets? I ordered the lowers, But didn't order the uppers or the plenum gaskets (I couldn't find them on ecs or rockauto)

    Take more pics! Love seeing this kind of stuff.

    I used foam engine cleaner to soak and scraped off with a flat screwdriver. Its just a bit fiddly taking all out without undoing fuel lines, etc but easy enough.
