Did anyone have a close up pic of install? I prefer these much over the body color ones (and not sure those would pass safety inspection), but just want to make sure they fully cover the reflector (no gaps).

Unfortunately they arent really that dark, the ad is kind of deceiving, but its definitely a much less offensive shade of orange.

Thanks for posting. The tint seems okay, just subduing the color is a great change. But I'm concerned with the size of the decal... looks like it leaves the edges exposed all around. ECS is doing some photoshop in their photos, methinks.

What is total photoshop?

It's really not photoshoped. It definitely depends on the lighting. In his case it seems like its in direct sun light so it will appear lighter. I just took these photos of the B9 in our shop with my phone.

HAH! The original photos were totally photoshopped (and one of them not that well), anyone who has a computer could read the metadata and find out they were all uploaded to photoshop as well. They were just represented as darker, its ok, i still like mine but its definitely light grey.

The only one that was touched up was the artwork graphic. Which is artwork, exaggerations are expected to grab attention. This is also the reason we provide install shots. Why would we photoshop install shots if we want to portray what it looks like installed?

Look at my pics and then look at the ones we shot. The color is the same. Every photo gets edited for clarity and proper exposure.

And with an install like this "touch ups" make a difference that's like saying "we're going to sell paint matched reflector inserts but it's not the exact color code of red but we'll alter the photo to make it look like the same red, no one will know" it's just about honesty.

For the record I said "Not really photoshopped". The color of the film in any of the install photos was not touched. Removing reflections and other aspects of the install photo to make the image more clear are.

The Artwork "graphic" is exaggerated. That's expected to grab attention.

There's nothing about this product that we're not being honest about.

No installation instructions included. You can remove them more than once if your application isn't perfect. I would suggest starting at the top corner, working your way to the bottom corner on the same side, then towards the opposite end (bottom first) then finish at the top corner.

You can also use a hair dryer to help smooth it out and allow it to be a little more forgiving.

Wouldnt it just be easier to remove the 2 torx screws behind the bumper and take out the assembly. Then just spray tint them to the shade of your choosing?

Have you ever seen a spray tint that actually looked good though? I haven't.

The amber reflectors in the front bumper are attached with a very strong adhesive. Not worth trying to remove them imo.

I don't know why taking 5 minutes to weed out the truth on someone who misrepresented a product then lied about it means I have a lot of time, I don't want to argue with anyone but it was ordered thinking it would black out the reflector as much as their photo and it's very clearly much lighter and when questioned they said it wasn't photoshopped and then that it was kind of photoshopped and then misquoted that that had initially said it was photoshopped. If you went to the gas station and pumped 91 octane but it was really 89 you'd be a little upset, still fuel, will still run the engine but not at the performance expected; same principle.

Well. Looking at the pics Mitchfin posted, it doesn't look too dark. Looks like the orange is smoked now.

Anyone tried removing the amber reflectors? In the older A4s, I believe it was just clipped and could be removed by removing a few screws in the wheel well liner and then unclipping it? I thought the new ones would be the same too? Someone posted above saying it was glued and someone else said it was screwed on the bumper using torx screws. I'm confused now.

I agree totally. Just stuck my gunsmoke laminx sticker on my car. Not dark at all. Looks like how it looks in Mitchfin's photo. And with the flash on, it looks like there is nothing stuck on the reflector. Good if you want a slight smoked effect. Not good if you are trying to darken it.
