I'm in Cleveland today/tonight on business and being from the Chicagoland area, I drove the RS... Well of course today being 92 and stupid humid, the AC decides to stop working properly mid-Indiana.
I get to CLE and promptly call the closest dealership to my hotel...no joy; booked solid. The Advisor recommends an independent service shop in town run by enthusiasts, so I call and they say they can squeeze me in. (It's after 4PM by the time I can get there) They pull it in right away and get started: check AC (somewhat working by now), it's low refrigerant. They evac, vacuum test for leaks and recharge.
At this point they are my heroes just for getting me in and working on it in such short timeframe. Then the best part:
I'm told the service was gratis because they hadn't seen an Ibis RS4 in the flesh. I offered anyway, but they stood by the no-charge.
Now I certainly wouldn't expect that again, but the fact that it even happened at all... Their shop was full of VW/Audi cars and everyone knew their stuff! The shop is no operating room, but the service I just received from German Auto Pros in Parma Heights, OH has made me a believer.
I hope this type of endorsement is allowed, because they deserve the praise. If it weren't for them, I'd be sweating my b4ll$-off on the drive home.
So this is as a great-big thanks to German Auto Pros

Thank you.
