160 is what JHM is selling them for with new gaskets and bolts..

RS4 spacers are $250, S4 spacers are $160 (which is a bit silly, but...)

Not silly. The cost us more because we can't make them in as large of batches as S4 ones, as there are a LOT more S4s than RS4s. The supplied gaskets are also more expensive than S4 gaskets.

It's fine by me if you guys want to charge more because of the "RS tax", or even because the machining time is longer for the FSI spacer. You guys do a lot for the B7 RS platform, and are one of the few companies that actually support it, which is great.

That said, the difference in gasket cost is <$20 ($52 vs. $34) and a 4"x20" G-10 blank is <$3.50 even in an order of 10 units, so I think calling a 56% price hike silly is not unreasonable on my part (unless, like I said before, the machining time is much greater for the FSI spacer).

Just my $.02.

The machining costs more not because of the time to make it, its the amount being made at one time. Time is money and to make a quantity of product that is going to sit on the shelf because of a small market, you are loosing a lot more money when you could have been making a product that is selling frequently.

It's simply supply and demand.
