Looking for some insight car stalled & died

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    It's a 2010 Audi A4 Automatic 69,*** miles

In November 2015 the car failed the oil consumption test and now have new pistons installed.

The car has been good ever since then until last Thursday I put silicone hose and air filter on the engine to try out. The next day the car started showing: esp fault, parking brake malfunction, and tpms malfunction. The car was driving fine and then it stalled out going through an intersection later in the day and wouldn't start back up. I read online that the usual cause of those codes is a bad brake switch, so I had that replaced and it still will not start.

I scanned the car with two different scanners. One scanner said NO DTC. The snap-on scanner would communicate with the air bags and brake system but wouldn't show any engine fault codes. I was thinking that the ecu went bad, but someone said that possibly the body control module went bad.

I wanted to get feedback on this if any of you guys have any input??

Here is a picture of the car and the custom intake that I made up to try out:

Those 3 malfunctions mean you hit limp mode. Tow it to a dealer or a Audi mechanic that knows what they're doing.

Every time I've had those 3 faults pop up its cus of my maf sensor being unplugged. I broke the tab that keeps it in and it called out weekly now. Haven't taped it in yet. No idea why it would've stalled out. But check your maf.

I heard it'll still run with the maf unplugged. I get nothing when I try to start it up with the maf plugged in or unplugged.
My buddy works at an Audi/vw tuner shop and suggested the body control module, that's why I wanted to get others opinions before I start buying a bcm and an ecu. I don't trust the dealerships, they did a half ass job with putting the car back together after the piston job. I wasn't happy with their work.

Have you checked fuses. The MAF harness in your picture looks very tight. I'm just taking a guess but maybe the MAF was the original christmas tree display. The Wire may have shorted and popped the ECU fuse.

Doesn't crank at all, the lights, radio, everything else gets power to it. Just shows those fault codes on the dash.

It's at my buddy's shop now and he checked all the fuses and said they are good. I'll double check him tom though.. Do you know off hand which fuse is for the maf?

I wanted to extend those maf wires because it was a tight fit, but I didn't really have much time to Mess with it because I had a baby Sat morning, the car died the evening her water broke... Fml

My buddy that's a technician for a vw/Audi performance shop had brought his vagcom to check out the car. He thinks based off the codes it's sending that the abs module went bad. He wants to check out the speed sensors and trace out wires.
