    21" SQ5 wheels

Quick question, I love the 21" SQ5 wheels, I'm considering buying a set for my 2011 Q5. But it does seem that a lot of people on these boards are always selling the 21" and moving to 20", is there a reason for that that I may be missing?

#1 reason: Unhappy with OEM look and stance
    #2 reason: Disposable income.

Interesting you mention that. I have the 21" Oem wheels and absolutely love them on my SQ5! I love them so much that I found a set that were just powder coated satin black and bought them for my winter set up. I truly believe that they really make our Q's gorgeous. I totally understand that there's not a huge selection of tires for them and the fact that the tires are expensive, but the look is really priceless. I do know most guys will go 20" to save on tires plus to go wider with them. It's a gorgeous look too, but each to their own? Also, the ride is a bit better with more side wall.

Because fitting 21 wheels on this small SUV requires a very low profile tire; if you live an area with bad or even standard road quality the ride can be quite rough. It's the classic trade off between good looks and a smooth ride, not unlike women

I would totally be rockin' the OEM 21"s if I could get them at least 10" wide.

Basically what's already been said above. Mrs. Gravy has a Q5 with 20" wheels, and it's a smoother ride for sure (even in dynamic suspension mode) than my SQ5 with 21s. I'm strongly considering going to 20s, but more for tire options (and a desire for black wheels). To my knowledge there is no real all-season option for the 21s. We go to Mammoth a few times a month when snow is falling, but a dedicated Winter set up is overkill for me, and swapping back and forth is a hassle I just don't want to deal with.

Wheel options and fits I'd guess. Not too many 21"/22" nice cast options. Forged... anything you want. And the 20's with a fatter tire looks awesome.

That said, BBS has the CH-RII in 21" and Vorsteiner has the VFF-103 in 21" for those wanting to keep a 21". I did the 21" 103. Would love to see someone run the CH-RII.

As for rubber, one can do a 285/295 on a 21", and have plenty of meat for good ride quality.

Forgestar also has some nice 21/22" options.

Great, thanks for all the input everyone. I found a great deal on a set of 21" SQ5 wheels that I think I'm going to jump on. I'm in Arizona, so winter tires are of zero concern and the roads are well maintained.
