Has anyone installed an oil catch can on their S3? Which brand do you recommend?

i've looked into this but the only easy solution was the APR version which required their intake. i would like to see what is available for a car with another intake system such as my CTS open filter.

I have the spulen one and like it quite a bit. Realty like how it looks stock in the engine bay too. I've driven about 400 miles and is definitely working and well as I need to drain it soon.

Install took about 30 mins, however the little plug to block off the boost tap, was giving me an engine code light (small vacuum leak detected), replaced it with Teflon tap and an actual plug and now codes all gone.

Thanks. I considered the APR intake +catch can setup, except I am not a fan of oiled filter. (Didn't know if there is a dry filter option)

Do you have to remove your washer fluid reservoir to run this? That's also something I do not want to get rid of.

How easy is the spulen install? My current residence (condo) doesn't allow tenets to work on their cars in the garage.

It took me about 30 mins with minimal tools in my driveway. Hardest part was pulling the rear hose off. Just go to any parking lot to install to not get on your condos hoa bad side.

I was really happy with the ECS Tuning catch can system on my B8. Looks like they have one for the A3, not sure about the S3 though. Decently priced as well.

I am curious as to why you are not a fan of an oiled filter? I have had a multitude of cars that have used K&N or other oiled filters without any issues. I understand the fear of fouling a MAF sensor, but that only happens you clean the filter and over oil it. It's not going to happen with brand new filter. Furthermore, the S3 doesn't have a MAF, so that issue isn't relevant.

Bad experience with K&N in previous car. Poor construction with rubber edges constantly peeling.

Doesn't sound like an oiled filter issue. Sounds like a K&N build/quality issue. BTW, I don't think APR uses K&N, even though it is an oiled filter.
