A5 seats in my A4. Help.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So i bought these A5 seats and everything works as it should, it just giving me those "normal" e-brake and airbag codes.
On the driver side i changed to my old control module but for the passenger side my old one did not look like that typical "big box" unit so couldent really changed that one.
I assume its the passenger seat that make it throw codes.

I know ive read somewhere here who did this exact retrofit but cant seem to find that thread/post/user.

So i have access to VCDS and i have access to remove those protection thingy that you do at the Audi dealer. Any Ideas?

Will post pics at the control module and vcds scan later "today".

So in the A5 seats into A4 avant topic i found this: "only issue was i had to get the dealer to fix coding via the Audi network as there was some sort of immobilizer built in and it starting throwing ebrake and airbag codes."
I guess he dident change modules.

As far as i understand from Davids post i need to swap over that seat recognition module(got the same thing as in the picture) to my new seat? But thing is there were a few more connectors in the A5 module...
When i think about it the only thing that does not work is the airbag seat recognition.

Have to remove the seat again tomorrow to see if there is possible to change harrness etc tomorrow. But if someone has done this and know exactly what to do feel free!

Was thinking... Because i can access to remove module protection can i just use the "new" module and remove the protection and im good to go?

My new and the old seats have the same specs.

Did you go into the airbag module with VCDS and check for/clear the codes in that specific module (as opposed to the general scan and clear codes)? Likely won't fix your issue, but it's worth a shot.

    Think i did both.

I pretty much know what causes the codes. In my world the new for me A5 seat and its control module should have the seat recognition also. I will try remove the security lock and see if that fixes the problem otherwise ill have to somehow move over the seat recognition sensor into the A5 seat.
