I believe anything faster than a 13.99 requires helmet. You can confirm on their website though

Credentials: Drivers must have a valid unrestricted state or government issued driver’s license, with no underage driving restrictions (i.e. supervised, provisional, etc.) or an NHRA Competition License; subject to inspection by officials at any time.

Helmet: If your car runs 13.99 or quicker you must have a helmet with a SNELL 2005 rating or newer.

Roll Bar: Mandatory in cars running 11.00 to 11.49 (including T-Tops), in convertibles running 11.00 to 13.49, and all dune-buggy type vehicles running 12.00 and slower. See NHRA Rulebook Sec. 4A.

Fire Jackets: Required for drivers in cars running 11.49 or quicker meeting SFI spec. 3.2A/1; Drivers in cars running 9.99 and quicker must have jackets and pants, meeting SFI spec. 3.2A/5.

Master Cutoff: A master cutoff for a battery is required for any car where the battery is relocated. Battery must be securely mounted as described in the NHRA Rulebook.

Catch Can: A catch can is required for coolant overflow. One pint (16-ounces) minimum.

Protective Clothing: Full-length pants; short- or long-sleeved shirt; closed shoes; and socks. No shorts. No tank tops. No open-toe or open-heel shoes or sandals. Synthetic clothing not recommended

So essentially a helmet for under 14 seconds, roll cage for under 11.5, and they want you to wear long pants

Ill probably come watch and kill some time and watch some runs. I have never put a car down the strip myself. If my B5 didnt have a new coolant leak somewhere I would probably do a few easy runs.......not one for launching this particular B5.

The track temperatures hoovering in the 90's, I only managed to run a 13.2 @ 107. I know the car has more...even a 108-110 is possible with lower ambient temperatures.

I have one in-car video of the first pass. After that, they caught me and warned me that if it's seen again, they'll kick me out.

Otherwise fresh off the showroom GTRs and GT500s couldnt visit the track. However, "Unaltered" may be the opinion of the tech inspector lol

They threw a fit about the camera mounting in the car? PIR can be hit or miss with their crew. Sometimes they can be lenient and in a fun mood, and other times you get the "respect my authority" types who ruin it.
