    S-Line package...

Was hoping in the 3500 lbs but it's a bit more than I thought. Considering it is longer, wider with more interior room and certainly packed with more standard options it’s really all not bad.

However the X-weight is pretty darn good at 50.4% out of the box.

Front to rear weight distribution is at 55%F and 45%R which is much better than previous A4s usually at 60%/40%. Coupled with the new chassis, new front suspension design all but confirms a much better handling car... Very pleased with it so far and I will take it to the Tremblant race track in August to further test its handling qualities.

Wow that is much lighter than I thought it would be considering my S4 is 3900lbs..

My 3.0TDI is a pig, wouldn't be surprised if the S4 weighs almost as much. Difference between 3.0TDI and 252TFSI is 155 kg. But some of that weight might be in the tip vs S tronic.
Edit: Seems like tip adds another 35 kg when I compare 3.0 272 with tip and 3.0 218 with S tronic, making the V6 120 kg heavier than the I4.

Thanks for sharing! A full tank of fuel is an extra ~100 lbs, too. Lines up with what I've seen from other sources- Car and Driver's test car for example was similar at 3,671 lbs.

Unfortunately it doesn't appear from those few weights I've seen that Audi has saved any significant amount of weight on the North American spec cars as compared to the B8. A bit odd since they mentioned 200+ lbs savings upon first reveal; I suppose that may be on a barebones ROW spec car with the 1.4L, or may also be more significant on the FWD cars.

Regardless, you won't hear me complaining about 35xx lbs.

Quattro and no I'm not in it. Why would I be sitting in the car to give the proper car's weight?

IIRC, Audi only claims that the B9 A4 is about 100 pounds lighter car for car (equipment/option wise) when compared to the B8. That's still very good considering the B9 is longer and wider.
