RS4 Selling 2007 - Help with Price Request

I am thinking of selling my RS4. 2007 Phantom Black with 105K miles on it. Body is 8/10 Interior 9/10. Mechanically its solid.

Maintenance done in the last 6K:

    2 Oil Changes (Motul)
    Carbon Clean
    Fuel Injectors Cleaned (Professionally)
    PCV Valve Replaced
Engine, Torque, Trans, Diff Mount all replaced
    Axle Seals - Replaced
    Axle Replaced
Power Steering Line Replaced (Seeping Fluid because of Corrosion)
    New Battery

Brakes/Intake Manifold and all other Fluids were replaced at 85K

    Mods:
    Stasis Challange Suspension
    ECS MidPipe
Magnaflow Mufflers with "S" Valves retained

Its getting new tires on Monday as well. Just wanted to reach out to the forums and see what you guys think I could ask for it. Prices on Autotrader and other sites are all over the place. Thanks for any advice. Looking to sell it because I need to take a break from the performance car scene and need to focus on some personal goals.

RS4 Selling 2007 - Help with Price Request

Finally it pays off with my Swedish keyboard - Öhlins. :), JK.

I would say $25-$30k. If you find an enthusiast you might be able to do a bit better. How many miles on your Motorsport version of the Öhlins btw? Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. Its just the Challenge Series Suspension. I edited the original post to eliminate any confusion and my lack of Swedish keyboard skills. I guess Stasis is just Stasis not Stasis Motorsports.

Also, based off of some of the prices on Autotrader, even from Audi Dealers, it looks like the RS4 is rebounding in price.

Was this car at Katie's Cars and Coffee in Virginia recently? There was an RS4 that looked similar with Iowa tags there is why I ask.

$28K-$30K definitely. It looks like you completed all the expensive maintenance so you are selling a car that someone can get in and drive it for another 40-50k miles without any out of pocket.

Start it at $30k, probably will end up around $27-28k.

Given all the maintenance that you've done (some of them being rather expensive maintenance items), and with brand new tires, I'd say start no lower than $30k. Might go down a bit as Fourplay said, but not much.

I have a '07 Black (with Silver interior) at 105k miles too, similar maintenance items done recently and mechanically solid. I'm not looking to sell (ever?), but it gives me a good ballpark of the car's value. GLWS!

I dipped in there for a bit a few Saturdays ago so it was probably mine. I dont know many people with Iowa Tags out here.

Also, based off of what you are all saying i priced it way to low online. Listed it for 27k...may need to change that.

Honestly 27k and it'll sell relatively quick. With 2 rs4's listed here in low twenties ( one has less mileage and one has more)i'd say your right in there on price. At 30k your going to get a buyer who expects everything perfect.

I just traded mine in, similar miles (93K) for $25K, low for sure but it saved me time and private sale hassle.

I've had mine listed for months and got almost zero interest. I'm in Canada though, have it listed for 28k on here. 76k miles and fully up to date on maintance with front rotors done this year. Maybe people are scared to buy one from out of country I guess. It is a us car originally.

I will tell you very candidly that I can't get any local action on my car, even at my low price of 21k (a tick above rough trade for my car) - and dealers want nothing to do with it, as far as they are concerned it's a ticking time bomb because they see "s4" not "RS4" and assume it's goign to need timing chain work - bottom line for me has been that apparently 100k mile audi's are not worth selling - I'm virtually at the point where I'll keep my car because it's a flawless car and other than the high miles there is no reason to be afraid of it. - I feel like it would sell much more quickly in a northern state than it will down here in Texas.

I actually purchased my car from out of Texas. Sucks you havent got any action yet though. I got a message from a guy due back from a deployment in about a month but we will see how that goes.

Winterrunner, if i wpuld have been offered that on a trade it would probably be gone. I have been offered 19K and 21K. They keep going off the bluebook or try and pull the auction price crap. I havent tried Audi yet but then again I wont be upgrading to an R8 like you did.

Dude. That's a SIGNIFICANT maintenance list, AND NEW tires!!??? If you are not in a rush to sell, there is no way you should list it for any less than 30K. Like Striddy said, your buyers will literally have nothing to worry about/ argue against. Unless there are some significant exterior/interior blemishes (doesn't look like it in pics), you have a fine example to sell. Don't sell it short - you know what this car is. Unless you are in a big rush to sell, you can basically make your own price within reason and try to make the most profit so you can go buy an R8 like Winter!!!! In the end, for me it has to be fair to both parties - and you've invested A LOT of cash to bring the car to where it is now, combined with it's rarity, so all of that is heavily in your favor. GLWS!!! Audi for life.

The only negative to selling now is that people are moving on to fall/winter. Which shouldn't be a problem for an AWD vehicle, but RS4's do seem to sell slower in the fall/winter.

Interesting; I never saw car buying as a seasonal thing (or that whatever season we're headed into would affect what kind of car I buy). But maybe that's because I'm in the SF Bay Area, and we basically only have one season here and skip all the shitty ones.

Hah same down here in SoCal. Really makes zero difference for us. One season all year long...
