I agree it does look much better, but it doesn't change it drastically like blacking out the entire grille would. It's also an easy DIY for even the biggest amateurs so I feel like the shop shoulda thrown it in with the window wrap.

A4 gets matte black trim while black optics S4 gets the gloss black version.

Yea seeing the stock one helps to understand the change, and it is an improvement, but when I read the thread title I was expecting a blacked grille and got disappointed lol.
