    B7 a4 won't start... Please Help

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have a 06 a4 with 70k on it and it won't start. I'm not really good at anything electronical especially with cars.

I'm hoping some members that are familiar with these cars can shed some light and ideas on issues.

    Anything is greatly appreciated.

What I have already done in hopes of an easy fix is

    -New battery
    -New alternator

I've searched around online to find all the locations of the grounds with clear diagram of locations so I've checked and tighted the few I did find.

I'm no expert but check your starter and ECU... Had the same issue over a year ago & finally found out the ECU had gotten water in it & fried the relays. Good luck!

What happens when you turn the key? Single click? If so, it's most likely a fried starter.

Literally nothing, no clicking, I can hear something priming like fuel or something but no start

Ya, in the lower compartment of the ECU there is relays here's a link to what happened to me:

Moved my pictures to a new folder so here's a picture of the relays that are located there:

My car did need a carbon clean but the relays where the cause of my no start. Easy to check those above all else!

What else happens eclectically when you turn the key? Inst cluster lights? AC blower? If all electrical turns on, then maybe need to get under the car with a tester and see if there is voltage to the starter when someone turns the key. If there's voltage to the starter, that narrow it down in a hurry.
