    Audi S5 Exhaust advice

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi all,

I have a 2013 Audi s5 cabriolet and I am interested in purchasing an exhaust but I am so torn between the options that are available for this car. It's just stock now but I would like to do a full cat back system. I've heard of Milltek and AWE but I haven't heard any in person to give a perspective. I want it to sound more sporty but not too loud. Let me know what you guys think, I really appreciate your help!

AWE all day. Touring if you want a nice tone with some slight aggression, track if you want a nice roar. Both do a good job of keeping the noise mellow while cruising too.

AWE hands down. Best balance of sporty sound and not too loud. I ran the AWE on my S5 cab. Perfect fitment with no issues.

I tried to look on AWE's website and it doesn't say if it will fit the cabrio. All of them say the coupe. Where did you purchase yours from? I am just looking for the exhaust without the downpipes. I want to keep those stock.

I'll provide a different perspective; heard the awe touring and would have shot myself had I purchased that. Went Milltek non-res based on what I could find on YouTube and super happy that's the direction I went. I don't have any issues with drone though I may be less sensitive than others. My personal opinion is reports of droning on this platform are over blown but maybe I'm the outlier. Milltek has larger pipes throughout whereas the awe are necked down at the downpipes, if that matters. Best advice - go find cars with the systems you're interested in and see first hand how they sound. I was ready to pull the trigger on the tour in based on all the great reports but was very disappointed when I heard it in person. I would probably be happier with the track setup.

Definitely confirms you need to hear the different systems in person. I've heard milltek non res side by side with awe touring, and greatly preferred the latter.
