New to the B8 S4, looking to up power with dual pulley setup....

Hey guys, some of you know me from the B5 world that I have been living in for the past 12 or so years. I sold my widebody 600hp Avant recently and bought a well sorted B8 S4. Currently the car has the following mods:H&R Street Performance Coil Over Kit, rear shocks upgraded to Bilsteins.
Malone Stage II tune - this is THE car that was dynoed at 415WHP and 377WTQ. (http://www.malonetuning.com/ecu-tuni...kswagen/30tfsi) -this is the car that is on their website.
    Stage II supercharger pulley.
AWE tuning "cold front" coolant reservoir.
APR coolant performance system coolant tank.
AFCO Ford GT500 double pass heat exchanger.
    USP Motorsports intake.
All interior lighting converted to LED
    Carbon fiber mirror housings.
Debadged with painted and cleared taillights (light smoke, not overdone, flawless finish.)
    RS4 black front grille.
P3 cars vent gauge with boost, battery voltage, air temp, exhaust temp, 0-60, coolant temp, and ignition timing.
    Audi RS4 steering wheel.
    034 motorsports transmission insert.
    034 motorsports differential inserts.
    034 stainless steel downpipes.
    Opt7 Fluxbeam LED foglight bulbs.
Cross-drilled rotors with OEM pads. 84k miles.
AEM MAP/MAF based progressive methanol injection.
Titanium wheels with Michelin Pilot super sport tires 255-35-19
SPEC stage 3+ single disk clutch with new OEM flywheel

The car runs and handle well but I feel like it has more on tap so I would like to hear more on dual pulley setups. I am planning to install the JHM Overdrive lightweight crank pulley soon. Is there anyone doing custom tunes for dual pulley setups or is it just being added to existing software and still seeing noticeable gains? Thanks for any insight on my list of mods and what can be improved on. I plan to keep this car for a while and if you know me you know I will be trying to make a solid all around daily driver that performs to its peak potential.

you can have some good reading on the first 2 page.. look out for the 11 page long dual pulley thread AND the EPL thread ( 17pages ish) also EPL dual pulley offering.

i would suggest getting your suspension sorted.. not sure its very optimal to run H&R front and bilteins in the back .
S4 B8.5 no track, just enjoying spirited driving.

Dual pulley gains will depend on your tuner's strategy. Tunes that request tons of boost will likely see more gains. Your coolant system is sufficiently upgraded...so if your tune requests tons of boost the bypass valve should remain closed and enable you to make more power. However, if your tune does not request additional the bypass valve will open and you will not enjoy the all the benefits of a larger crank pulley. Some tuners optimize requested boost and adjust timing to make peak power...

EPL has a dual pulley tune...not sure if anyone else will follow suit. I believe 034 will drop something very shortly.

If you are not willing to swap tuners due to the $1600+ buy in, suggest you stack a Chipwerke piggyback in at 3-1 settings and take a few logs. I believe you will be impressed with the gains and the buy in is only $350 in the forums or ~$450 new.

What are higher boost cars running for boost? This car is around 14psi as it stands.

I would pick up a VCDS logger first before you make any determination on switching out the tune. Send some to me, I can assist.

Okay great, I will get the VCDS logger and be in touch. Looks like your car is dialed in pretty well. What boost pressure are you running? Thanks,

Approx. 20 psi on the smaller 179mm crank.

Okay great, I have been reading so much my head is spinning. Seems tuning has a long way to go on this platform and right now its more about getting the right piggyback mods to work with off the shelf tunes. Is this correct? I went ahead and ordered the chipwerke box since it seems like most people making decent power have that added, now I need to get the vcds cable to make sure everything is safe. I also have the JHM Overdrive crank pulley, so between adding that and the chipwerke box I am assuming there will need to be revised tuning correct? Coming from the B5 world where everything has been done and overdone I am excited to play with a new platform and look forward to feeling this thing make the power I think it is capable of.

On GIAC and APR, no file revisions are needed to run the CW. I would imagine it would be the same across the board.

Here is a good database of stage 2 "+" results. Many dual-pulley guys are trapping over 120mph --->

GR native? I thought I saw you the other day. I have a silver B8 S4. I have a VCDS cable if you want to borrow it for some logging.

If you're ever down in SE michigan or at Milan dragway, let me know! I'm one of two dual pulley cars in MI. Happy to review logs or answer any questions you have about the setup
