Not really. I run a tiny Hayden one for fmic. If you really want a cooler do a external oil cooler mines a mocal with thermo plate

Is this a must for a car that will do a few autox's?

I have a Mocal 19 row oil cooler that does the job, a bit overkill, but keeps my oil temps low in this hot California weather and at the track. If you're going to the track or autocross, then yes its worth it.

I always thought about an oil cooler bc it gets quite hot by me and I do a lot of highway driving but my oil temp guard doesn't work anymore so I wouldn't be able to tell.

He was talking about the ps cooler I think.

Good stuff. Seems to me to be a fairly inexpensive yet decent modification for what it's worth.

I run mine in the smic location

I actually replaced that cooler with a new one and mounted it better since I bent a bunch of fins the first time. I like this location much better than the condenser location since the car can be put in service position without having to disconnect the cooler.

That's not a bad idea at all. If I were to run an oil cooler how would I run lines to it? Like to and from locations?

I'm curious to see one of those setups too.

I kinda always thought about Putin the oil cooling in line for the turbo feed so the oil is nice and cold when it gets to the turbo.

Line goes from sandwich plate below stock cooler to cooler(smic location) back 2 sandwich plate.

This is the kit I run but you can do it much cheaper if pieced together. I plan to put a small efk in front of it so when sitting it still gets air

Just a little. I figure if we are on the topic of additional cooling why not?

    Thanks!

I guess technically it's labeled as a transmission cooler as it states in the description but it is a power steering cooler for me haha. I got the idea from another thread on here and decided on the smic location. I just had to cut the oem hoses a bit and make a bracket and voila, a smic located power steering cooler :)

    Here's the one I used:

    Here's an idea:

You do not need to do the relocate, you can mount one in the oem location and the fans are just an added bonus. However a relocate really cleans things up.
