EPC issue for first time. Seems strange

Out of nowhere I go to start my car after work, turned the key but let off too quick then tried right away again and she wouldn't start. Waited a few seconds and it took a bit but she did start. EPC light was on, shaking and very sputtery. Automatic. She didn't want to shift, but I was able to get up to speed and get about half way home then just pulled off to scan.

There were a bunch of faults, mostly various sensors. I cleared the codes and waited a few minutes. Car started back up nicely but EPC came on quick. Drove home with slow acceleration and not wanting to shift.

I feel like not starting the first time then trying right again might've thrown things out of whack or blown a fuse of some sort. I've read where people say that light goes off on it's own and obviously that's what I'm hoping for. I know there can't be a dozen faults just for this one issue. Figure I'll wait an hour then go try it. If anyone has had a similar issue I'm all ears.

Had it rained recently? Or the car got wet? One of the relays under the ECU on mine started to go bad, and when it would rain it would act exactly as you described. EPC on and very rough running. I'd turn it off, and most times it would start back up and be fine. Finally I replaced the relay, never had an issue since.

Can't remember but I think it did rain that morning. The only thing I've noticed since is what I would consider slightly reduced MPG, but I'm OCD about a lot of things so that could be in my head.

Was this the 614 relay? I've read about that one.

Yeah, it was. Wasn't too expensive, and wasn't too hard to get to... And that solved the issue I was having.
