    Example here:

the "8R0953..." part number has been much harder to find that the "8K0953..." and at a reasonable price.

    Thank you!

What's the difference with the 8K0953502BK, which is more readily available?

The steering angle sensor (that donut on top of the stalk assembly) is different. And the plugs on the stalk assembly are different as well. See below pic compared to my pic above.

I still have not acquired the part. I haven't found it in the US for less than $400 new. Which I am not willing to spend. I've found a few places in Europe but most will not ship to the US or have not been forthcoming with information.

I picked up the 8K0... version of this a year ago, not knowing I needed the 8R0 part, and only paid $120 shipped. Still in the hunt for the 8R0... version.

Taking off the steering wheel and old assembly was a lot easier than I thought it would be, thanks to DavidB8's DIY. I ended up putting it all back together with the original parts.

That would be awesome. Let me know the part number on the wiper stalk assembly and I'll take a look.

    Thank you guys!

You seem to have done your research on the exact part. I'm curious to know how you found that the R0 is the right part? There are so many part numbers but are you looking for the one with without on board computer, without adaptive cruise? What was the exact part number you tried that didn't work after you pulled everything apart?
