I think my mechatronics unit is bad. What are my options? ECS repair kit?

I'm coming up on my 115000km service which should be the second fluid/oil change, although I have a suspicion it may not have been done originally. My transmission has been bucking and slamming and all the other symptoms. What are my options? Has anyone had any success with the repair kit from ECS? Should I just pop in the repair kit while the fluid is replaced regardless? My understanding is that any repairs mean the fluid has to be drained so I figure I might as well do it in one shot.

I guess my question is, I haven't gotten any warning lights or anything, my transmission is just acting uncivilized. Do you think that could be an issue with the printed circuit board or would it be a mechanical issue? Has everyone who has had success with the repair kit had a "limited functionality" light before?
