    2.0T Cam Bridge Failure

    Has anyone seed this failure. Apparently, this is does not have a part number. To replace, you have to buy a new head... ($6300 with labor)

    Never seen that before. You could probably get that welded. I'd guess something was overtorqued.

    So cal? I know of an excellent welder in Sacramento.... I will see if I can dig up his number, he welded a trans case bell housing that was aluminium for me. He's definitely very talented... Of course it may be a drive for you

    Looks like it may have been overtightened. Can't see how it would ever stress and break?

    I've seen this happen twice one car broke a valve and one snapped a cam. If the top part is broken there's no way the bottom isn't messed up. You also don't want to put one from another head on as it's probably not going to match up right. Best bet is finding a new head.
