Which tire size to use...

I have b8 a4 sport package wheels. I believe they are 18x8 et47. Will I be able to run 245 40 18 tires? I'm currently running 225 40 18 tires and they look a little stretched. My car is lowered on eibach pro kit springs and koni sport shocks.

My current setup is 18x9 et 52 S6 wheels with 255/40 tires. I'm lowered similarly with H&R/Bilstein, but I do have 10mm front and 15mm rear spacers. I don't have any problems with fit or rubbing.

I run 235/40 18 ET 43 for summer/daily. 245/40 18 ET 35 for my winter tires and 245/40 18 ET 35 for my track tires. All fit with no issues.

I'm on b6 S4 18". 45et 10mm front 15mm rears 245/40/18 lowered on koni coilovers and my fitment a clear. No rubbing I'm not as low as I could be. But it's clear no rubbing no issues. Camber is 2.5 on all 4 corners.

Im on AMG C63 wheels 245/35/r19 fronts stock space, 255/35/r19 rears 10mm spacers and 40mm lugs. I am lowered and only rub a tiny bit if I hit a horrible bump. No clue on the offset lol.

Something to keep in mind is that not all tire widths are created equal. May sound odd since they are a measured value, but it is true that some run "wide" opposed to others.

Take for example, I used to run Pilot Sport 2's in 235/40/18 with no issues, autox didn't even cause rubbing. Switched to super sports in the same dimensions and am having rubbing issues even on on ramps if I take them hard enough. Just something to keep in mind if you think it might be close.

You should be able to run most anything with that milder set up without rubbing though.
