Definitive Convertible Car Seat Winner - Diono Radian RXT

Hi All - I've posted a lot recently regarding my search for a convertible car seat for my B8 S4 that fits well and maximizes front seat legroom while installed in the rear facing position. After looking at almost everything on the market, and trying several in my car, I can definitely conclude that the Diono Radian RXT is the best fitting car seat for the B8 S4. I tested both the Maxi Cosi Pria 85, as well as the Britax Boulevard convertible car seats (both considered to be amongst the smallest) in my rear seat, and found that both needed to be reclined in the rear facing position quite a bit in order to be installed correctly. The Diono Radian RXT takes up much less room then either of these seats when installed with the angle adjuster. As a result, I am able to fit the Diono in my rear seat behind my drivers seat, without having to move my drivers seat up (I am six feet tall). As a plus, the Diono is quite narrow, which so far has resulted in no marks or damage to my rear seat bolsters. I also have a protective pad/cover down on my rear seat just in case.

Just wanted to pass my experience along as a reference point for others who are looking for a convertible car seat for their S4. The Diono Radian RXT is the seat to go with, hands down.

good to know, thanks. i have a diono radian forward-facing for my 3yo son, but we're planning kid #2 and will have a rear-facing seat again. this would be the first rear facing seat in the s4 though, and i don't want any griping of how my car is too small
