Wire/sensor location

Been changing the headgasket and are almost done with putting everyting back together, but cant find where this wire is supposed to be.
The car is a Audi A4 1.9 2000mod

Thinking it should be conected to the cooling system somhow, because i keep getting the High/low, temp/coolant level alarm when i start the car without it.

That is just the ambient air temp sensor. Goes on the power steering cooler in a little hole.

You also probably forgot to plug in the coolant level sensor underneath the coolant tank
