    Carista Codes

    Hi All,

So while I have been running around pampering my A6 I had rather overlooked the A4 that my wife now drives.

As a result I have a boat load of problems it would seem..

    I get;

    P0455 Large evap leak
    P0442 Small evap leak
P2293 Fuel Pressure Reg 2 performance
    P2296 Fuel Reg 2 C.Circuit High
P0087 Fuel Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low

Does anyone have an opinion on the scenario that would generate this combination of errors.

It's a 2007 and I checked the codes as a result of the car bogging down when driven.

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,

    Mick

Check your N80 valve for the EVAP codes, and maybe the sensor on the HPFP.

Thanks Audibot, I'll start with these and keep my fingers crossed.

I found the N80 valve online quickly, having a little more difficulty with the HPFP sensor, do you possibly have a link or part number or any suggestion for that matter?

Thanks and I apologise for the barrage of questions.

Hey Mick, that looks about it. Part # is 06E906051K.

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? That sometimes gets clogged and causes fuel pressure issues. A clogged filter causes the tank pump to work harder and results in a drop of low pressure fuel supply pressure below 5 bars. Something to keep in mind for regular maintenance.

    Hi Thanks so much.

I have no record of when the fuel filter was changed, so I think I should do this too pronto.

    Thank you again!!

Just an additional thought, would you say try changing the fuel filter before replacing the sensor?

I'll take it step by step then, N80 and fuel filter, then see where we stand.

    Thanks

So, air and fuel filter replaced, N80 replaced and exhaust section replaced.

    Still bogging down.

Codes were cleared to see which ones come back, as hopefully the evap is taken care of.

However the fuel regulator message was there and a new one, 'slow response from camshaft positioning sensor.

When the cel comes back I will update but any suggestions are as as always appreciated.

I have ordered both cam position sensor and hpfp sensor, I haven't yet checked out how complicated or not fitting is.

I've no idea to be honest, I'm just taking on board advice and reacting to codes. I'm sure it'll be last thing I try.

The first thing I would look at with a code for fuel rail pressure is the cam follower.

cam follower advice noted. Fuel filter was changed yesterday, no change or improvement as a result of doing so.
