Cut a 12.71 last night at 110.5 MPH in 3250 DA. Stage one 93 octane/TCU tune with ECS CF intake. I know it's not near any records per se, but I am EXTREMELY happy with the car, tune, and given track conditions.

Yes, stock cooling. Also, FWIW had a splash of 104 in the tank.

Which DSG file are you using? Does it short shift if you use launch control?

Given that, you should be about 12.4 in normal conditions. Haven't been able to get out to track to test my car out.

It will be faster than 12.4 in good air. I'm quite confident of that.

In perfect conditions or almost therein. Possibly you could run that. Last night was the opposite end of the spectrum. 70-85% humidity, 620ft elevation track, and 99-86 degrees air temp. DA started at 3950 and eventually dropped to about 3300ft. Interestingly, All 3 Audis there picked up 3/10th over a 6-700ft drop in DA. I don't expect that will fully extrapolate, but, there is absolutely more there than another 3/10 in good air.

pretty important tidbit but still good time regardless w/ the southern heat which I'd argue is the worst in the united states especially w the humidity especially in florida where it is like sticky salty thick humidity. but 85 degrees san antonio is sounding pretty nice. must of been a night run? i wish we at 85 degrees in tennessee.

I don't know where some of these tracks record the temps, but a few weeks ago at Waterfest is was just awful hot and I lived in and worked outside in FL for years so being up north now doesn't bother me that much. But at waterfest it was miserable and the track temp had a high of 91. That must be a temp gauge on the roof because on the ground it was 95-100 easy. Needless to say it is a great time given the conditions. As no one is breaking any records this time of year. I wish more people would post their times good or bad so others can see.

Great results given the conditions! Generally speaking 110-111 is a "reasonable" trap speed for stage 1 in ~1000 foot DA... its borderline unreal that you pulled that off at ~3500 ft. Look at the old 1/4 mile thread when you have a second....there cars with similar results with -2000 feet less DA!

    Thanks for positng

With out tuning, the gas would have effected times very little. He may have retained a little timing in 3rd/4th gear, but your talking a handful of horse power.

Yes, that run was after midnight, it had cooled down to 86 degrees. My blended octane was probably 95-96. It's not immaterial, but the car didn't 'feel' quicker than it does on the street with straight 93.

good to know, i was sort of wondering how the butt dyno felt after the splash but it's good to know based on what tony said, i can save some money in the future not filling w race gas unless i get the tune tweaked for it.

It's a very valid point Chris. The track surface was still easily over 100 at that point, and 'ground temp' was easily in the 90s.

Absolutely! I knew the updated stage 1 tune was stronger, but certainly did not have this level of expectation. In fact I was pretty certain given the significantly worse conditions, that I would not improve upon my May track times.
