    Just curious....

    Please provide the following...
    Intercooler type.
    F or C
    Stock heat shield or aftermarket/DIY
    Stock air box or aftermarket/DIY

    I will go first.
    Stock SMIC
    C
    DIY heat shield
Stock air box / Hengst filter.

After heat soak my IATs run approx 8 degrees Celsius (C) above ambient temperature.

A degree or 2 lower if on a long highway trip at approx 115KM/H

Every time I start my engine I monitor the IAT, LTFT, STFT, MAF g/s and block coolant temperature with my TorquePro. I have a TyrolSport SMIC. The question you should be asking is not how the intercooler performs in steady state driving but how it performs under load.

Here's some detailed information on how the TyrolSport performs with my F21L for both steady state driving and under load. Clicky clickŪ.

Here is a 3rd gear log taken on a day when the ambient was a little over 90°F: Clicky clickŪ

Here is a screen shot of my standard monitoring set up from today when it was approx 24 degrees C out
