    19" wheels S6?

    Hey all

I know the current trend is to go with bigger wheels these days but has anyone put 19" wheels on their S6?
If so what brand and size 19x9.5, 19x8.5 etc. Did you go with. Also what offset would I need to clear the calipers?
The reason I am looking to go 19 is for a better more comfortable quieter ride. I find the 20's a little stiff and a little noisie especially at highway speeds. I think a 19/40 would suit my needs better just don't know how good or bad there will look.
If anyone could post pictures of 19's on their S6 (if anyone actually has 19's) and also give the specs that would be great.

    Cheers

I have 19" winter wheels on my S7 - essentially the same thing.

I'm using OEM wheels. Here is Audi's spec for 19's.

Thanks for the info Jkwelsh I appreciate it.
How do you think the 19's look compared to the 20's?
Do you find the ride quality is improved on the 19's?

If I'm honest, as far as ride quality, l can't really tell the difference when running the 19" versus the 20". And although we do have some potholed roads, generally UK road surfaces are pretty acceptable.

I stayed away from the 21" wheels as the reviews indicated that the ultra low profile tires made for a pretty uncomfortable ride.

For me, the car looks fine riding on 19's or 20's.

Here is my S7 with the 20's fitted. (Car is not lowered, it's standard air suspension)

PB, sorry, lm not sure what question is?

I'm currently on my summer tires and rims - the mat black ones, as shown in the pic, and have no issues.

I had both sizes on my 2013. As is happens they were Same circumference for all intents and purposes so no recalibration required. My 2016 has the BO 20's and they seem to fill the wheel well better. Could just be my eye tho...

No appreciable diff in ride quality either.

Yes a smaller wheel with more rubber and lower tire pressure makes for a smoother ride but you sacrifice a small amount of handling, it's a trade off and depends what is more important too you. At this time I think ride quality is more important to me.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions guys I appreciate it.

I had 19's on my A6 and switched to 20's. The difference in ride comfort was marginal. The difference in stance and overall look was significant. I would not ditch the 20's for 19's if you're doing it primarily for ride comfort.

I have 19" Audi OE winter setup. The only issue I had was a rock or piece of salt got stuck between the caliper and wheel and left a large gouge on the inside barrel.

I'm lucky I live in Houston so I don't have the problems of a winter vs summer set up
