I bought my car 2 months ago and went to the tint shop to place tint on my car today. The tinter said im missing a piece on the bumber that goes around my tow package (which came from factory, not dealer installed). Is this true? It does seem im missing a piece on my rear bumper.

Yes you are. There is a panel cover there for when there is no hitch.

I was missing that panel as well. Dealer likely didn't cut out the hole and put it back after hitch install for previous owner. I had to buy a new one. You'll be shocked at the price.

I'm not going to buy something the dealer forgot to give me (no way jose). Ill send them an email first to see what they say. I had a few problems with them and they've actually been really good about correcting my issues I had buying my car.

Hopefully they give it to you. I bought our SQ used at a Porsche dealer and the original owner didn't have it. No freebies for me. Good luck.

Yup, same thing happened to me. Was on the road getting factory hitch installed in Portland so didn't notice until I got home. Dealer (Sunset) was great, shipped it to me at their cost with many apologies. The reality was I knew it needed to be modified to accept the hitch which was not part of the install so should have instructed them to put cover in the vehicle. They did tell me they usually discard the covers, I called literally next day so it was still lying around, hopefully your dealer still has it.

If you bought your Q new with a hitch, the hitches get installed at port of entry for US deliceries so not sure what SOP would be in that case, guessing they should have thrown it in the back with the roof rack rails.

Ask for the two screws needed to mount it too. I remembered to check for the cover at delivery (was in the trunk with the roof rack) but not the screws... No biggie though only a couple $.

If you look at the back side of the cover it comes with some guidelines of where to dremel. Not that hard to do.
