So in case anyone else ever comes across this problem, I wanted to leave a trail for them to find.

So I did a lot of googling and could never find the EXACT symptoms that I was getting so I was unsure of what to look at and remove/install. My symptoms being the car going into limp mode when i drive it hard and the DV not actuating when this happens. The limp mode would usually go away after not driving the car for a while. After $1300 of repairs to the car (most of which was stuff that needed to be done that they found while trying to isolate the original complaint). The shop ended up giving up and I took the car home.

Codes I would get were P0237, P0089, P0642, P0106. In a hail mary pass I decided to swap a part that seemed related even though other posts didnt describe my DV symptom. Enter the boost pressure sensor. I removed the old one and found it to be broken (it was missing a piece that the new sensor had). I installed the new one and went driving. Holy sweet K04 power batman. The car drives like a dream. I drove it hard and no limp mode, no DV issues, just power! So hopefully this marks the end of my very long journey to get this car fixed.

On a side note. I have the runner flat delete kit installed and the shop said they already put the K04 with flap delete software on it. But I still got a P2014 code just now. I was told that shouldnt be possible since the software is coded so the ECU doesnt even look for the flap motor. Is there a way to verify I have the right software? (maybe in the process of recoding my ECU they forgot the flap delete software when they reflashed it?
