    Engine removal help!

    So, I'm on the home stretch with pulling the engine but its just not coming out! The engine is definitely loose from the transmission. There is a half inch gap between he engine and transmission bell housing. I can even see the dowel pins completely separated, but the engine is still connected to the transmission. Any help is appreciated. Specs are as follows:

    2009 A4 S-Line
    Quattro
    Manual Trans

    I had this exact issue. There is 3 or 4 can't (remember) bolts in the driveplate.

    So it ended up just being the 3 bolts. Took all of 5 minutes to remove the bolts and pull the engine out. Looks like I am going to need to invest in a good set of crows feet for sure for install. There is no way I'll get a socket in on those bolts during reassembly.
