Grabbed this from ECS Tuning's web site. I used this when I did my RF Wheel bearing last year.

If this link doesn't work, just go the ECS site, search for wheel bearings for your car, and click on the Installation link found below the item description, this this case, I chose the Audi OE bearing part ES#: 261612.

I found the Axle bolt to have one crazy torque at 140 ft-lbs + 180 degree turn. But I did it and it's never coming off, LOL!

Thanks dudes, time get out the 6 foot pipe for that extra turn. I remember when I did the clutch, I don't think I ever got that extra turn either. I'm going to get it this time.

Sorry to awaken the dead but I am having an issue getting the left bearing off the knuckle. Right side was easy peasy.

They can be a Beech to get out. When I did mine, it took me two days of hammering, using a slide hammer, penetrating fluid and lots of swearing - and it still wouldn't come out of the spindle/knuckle/upright.

Ultimately, I decided to remove the whole spindle/knuckle/upright assembly and take it to the hydraulic press. Even then, it really stressed the press before it let off a loud bang when it let go. There were pieces flying everywhere as the races separated into multiple pieces. That sucker was in there!

In the end, it was a wasted expense and effort as I thought it was that bearing making the droning sound that drove me bat-sh!t. No change in the noise after replacing the wheel bearing. It ended up being the worn tires that was making the noises. A fresh set of rubber make all the difference, LOL!

If it's being stubborn, you may have to do what I did and take it to a shop with a press, control arms and all because of that notorious pinch bolt may give you just as bad of a headache.
It's mind over matter. But if you don't have a mind, it really doesn't matter.
