    15 Psi at 4k RPMS??

Hey guys. So I never really thought this was a problem till it clicked that k03 cars should spool alot sooner.

My car is tuned by daz He stated it should hit 17-19psi. Boosts and holds 15 psi. It doesn't hit the full 15 psi by atleast 3900-4100rpm. Ive pressure tested the car before and there is seemingly no leaks.

    Two questions for AZ.
    1. What could cause my car to spool so slowly? There is no "dentist drill" where should I begin checking.

    2. Why isn't my car hitting that 17-19psi that daz stated. If it's not a boost leak
What are some of the restrictions that can cause the car not to spool?

    Thanks in advance

You'd have to provide some additional info on the car such as supporting mods. But first thing I'd do is look at the following through VCDS/Vagcom, these would all show signs of a leak in some form or another if you had one.

    1. Look at actual vs requested boost: if there's a big difference, that could indicate a leak (vacuum and/or boost)
    2. Fuel trims: This will tell you if there's a leak if the car is correcting significantly to offset a leak
    3. MAF readings: at idle, you should be seeing MAF readings within spec

Just because you don't have a boost leak, doesn't mean you don't have a vacuum leak. Those are harder to test for but you can spray all the vacuum lines with MAF cleaner and if there's a leak, it'll pull in some MAF cleaner and you'll hear the car idle higher for a second.

Are you able to log the car? If so log it and email it to me and I will take a look and let you know if I see anything.

I have VCDS lite. And a cable. Can I accomplish these things using that? I'm not the best with it. Is there a guide somewhere? 😂 Not quite sure where to begin with that.

Also with taking logs. How do I go about?

    As for mods supporting mods.
    Just

Stock downpipes with cats. With aftermarket catback. I have 3"dp's that I'm waiting to install. This would be beneficial correct?

Hey. I have the cable and all but I've never logged before. What do I need and how do I begin?

You can log with VCDS but I can't remember if you can with lite. If you can go to measured values. Select mvb's 115,2,31,33 and click log. Click start log and do a 3rd gear pull from 3k rpm to redline. Wait a few sec after the pull and click stop log. The log will be saved in the VCDS log folder. You can also use me7 logger that can be downloaded here http://nefariousmotorsports.com/foru...p?topic=1079.0
You will have to make an account of you don't already have one to download the files. It can be a pain to use for the first time but it's a great tool.

Perfect. Thanks. I'll give these a try tonight when the back roads in Mexico are quiet. I'll email you the logs if I manage to get. Hopefully move forward from there
