Which Colorado dealer won't fuck me?

So it's coming time for my final service under Audi Care. I have already been bent over by Denver/McD Audi, and strictly on principle, do not want to revisit them. I've heard bad stories about prestige and Phil long. Is it true that Boulder is the only safe place to go? I live in castle Rock now ;(

I've never had a problem with Prestige, and I've only ever heard good things about Boulder Audi. I'm kind of surprised that Denver Audi sucks, but not at all about Phil Long.

Maybe I'll give them a shot. I personally haven't dealt with them, aside from an uninspiring 5 min with a lame salesman once. Really don't want to have to drive all the way to Boulder or FoCo of i can avoid it.

i can second that prestige probably won't bone you. they haven't gone above and beyond other than their parts dept guy feeling bad and giving me a discount when i bought coolant. I serviced my 2009 A4 under audicare there, they gave me an A7 3.0t loaner :D

the conversations i've had with sales people have been meh as well.

I've gone to McDonald Audi / Audi Denver service for about 10 years, bought 4 cars from them, no real problems. Aside from an occasional new employee doing something dumb, always a great experience. A lot of it depends on the service adviser, some are better than others, don't just make an appointment with whoever answers the phone, ask around or ask your salesman who they like. I went to Prestige a few times when my favorite service adviser went there, and they treated me great as well, but he retired so I went back to Audi Denver the last 3 times.

honestly John, I'd say Prestige Imports. I was there last week and even though they couldn't find the reason for the car being there, they still took great care of me.

Yeah the sales people at prestige are just sales. but the parts guy and Matt and i forget her name in services have helped me out 2 or 3 times, no weird over priced throw in repairs and they were truthfully honest if something was on there cause the mileage or it really needed the service. brakes were changed and flushed but no record so they posted mileage shows time for flush but noted looked like it was already done recently and would not do it unless i was overly concerned about it.

Parts prices at Prestige are incredibly high. Some of the quotes I've gotten from them for Cayenne parts are literally 100% higher than from RM European, ECS Tuning, etc...

I had Prestige do it on my B8 A4. They did the "Stage 1" and, when that didn't stop the oil consumption, I got the "Stage 2" rebuild.
Pretty sweet deal actually, since AOA footed the whole bill, I end up with a rebuilt lower end, and I got a sweet loaner in the interim.

Don't remember exactly, but a lot. Something more than a quart per 1000 miles. Kinda like me and beer!

Good luck bro, Matt's cool but the techs are sketch - took me 3-4 visits to fix my loose driver seat and dashboard rattles. They do take care of you and don't really trip about aftermarket parts but it's a wash in my book...

When I owned my Audi's and worked in Boulder, their reviews from locals seemed to be terrible.... So I found a few Audi indy shops in boulder that I would take my car too instead.... Maybe they have turned their reputation around.

It was a better experience than Denver Audi, but still a "dealership" experience. Needless to say, still absolutely no reason to go back now that my Audi Care will be up shortly now.

Actually just got the car back from getting some custom electronic work done to fix my "push clutch to start" issues. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, PM me, I'll let you know who to talk to ;)

Edit: Matt did "hook me up" with 10% off without having to ask for anything. Still got butt raped but a nice offer. I paid $185 for a slave JHM has for about $50.

Asked for info about an oil consumption issues in the past and they stated that nothing was ever done or shown as far as oil consumption issues went and also told me I had an oil change left on the cars audi care plan (not the case). Obviously they wanted to sell the car and they are a dealer (dont care what dealer or how good of a rep they have, they're all slimy, sketchy bastards) so they didnt tell me the real story which was that the car had stage 1 fixes and stage 2 testing done and passed. Which is probably why the old owner got rid of it and it was up for sale. Hopefully audi will clear my consumption issues for a fix otherwise ill be opening a case with AOA and raising hell.
