back axle and nothing in the front? I'm ok with the look on the front, just not happy with rears so tucked in. Thoughts?

Just my opinion, but if you go with 20 only in the back, it's going to look as equally unbalanced/odd but in the opposite direction. I've put the rear on mine first (I have 20 back, 12.5 front w/stock wheels...), dumped it off the jack to do the front, and it looks half finished.

There usually seems to be a 7-10mm difference between front & back so I'd probably suggest going with a 10 on the back if you don't want to touch fronts.

I agree with BlackSVT. I have 12.5mm in front and 20mm in the back with 20 inch stock wheels. It makes the stance of the car look so much better. I put the rears on first and lowered the vehicle and the front looked weird without the spacers. Everyone has different taste though.

Why don't you do the following. Buy a set of 20mm spacers and mount both on either the left side or right side to give you an idea of the options? First mount right rear, lower car, and see how it looks. Then mount the other 20mm to right front and see how it looks (remember it will stick out a few mm though). This will give you a better idea in real life.

I had 12.5mm front, and 20mm rear, just like them. The stance was spot on.
Pretty much everyone agrees that 20mm for the rear with stock wheels is the way to go.
The front can vary from 10-15mm, and I think the majority of us split the difference with the 12.5mm.
Another consideration, is that increasing the rear width wider than the front will also increase understeer.

I too wasn't too concerned with the front, but the back bothered me. I'm fine not being flush, just needs to be even front to back. After a couple different measurements and looking at a lot of others' pics, I'm very happy with just my 12mm in the rear. Visually the back matches the front now. Just a 20 would definitely be way too much IMO.

Camber comes into play. With a healthy amount up front, a 5mm variance is spot on. I only have a 3mm variance currently.

    ^too much... I don't understand?

+100 Height/wheel gap and tire width play a role visually too.

I should have noted that I'm stock height on stock wheels/tires.

To the guys that have done the various spacers using stock 20" wheels...can you post a pic labeled with you spacer setup XXmm (f)/XXmm (r)?

I'm currently looking at a spacer setup for the wife's Q5 on the stock 20" wheels and am trying to get it to the perfect spot the first time around.

I put 20mm on the back of my B8 avant, still had no rub on bumps while loaded, that's with the S-line 18's though.

Mops...can you share through your experience what tends to be the best front to rear size for spacers on the OEM 20" wheels to flush the front and rear?
