    Audi A6 C6 4.2 Major Vacuum Leak

Hey guys, I had some issues today involving a VERY rough idle and as well as CEL and EPC lights in my face.
I've had a handful of rough starts over the last few months with the EPC light coming on but no CEL.
Codes pulled were P0174 and P0171 which are described as bank 1 and 2 running too lean.
First thought was MAF, cleaned it and blew out air filter which is only a few months old...everything else looked fine.
Upon further inspection I found a major vacuum leak off of the throttle body.
I'm confused on if I'm completely missing PCV valve that goes in this place.
The video link below describes it well, please take minute and give your thoughts.
Very hard to find info on this engine (BNK) minus a basic vacuum diagram which is no help.

It is a vacuum line for sure. The question is, where does it connect to. Here is a picture of a 4.2 motor that shows the line in question. It looks to come up and run to your left. I just cant see where it goes.

based on your video, it looks like the forward vacuum line shown in the picture is capped off on your car.

    Edit:

Just showed your video to my trusted mechanic. That nipple you are pointing to is a coolant outlet. In cars destined to very cold climates, there is coolant that runs through there to keep the oil housing from freezing. It is capped off on the top and bottom side in cars that are not set up for that. You should have a cover over that but most likely it rotted and came off over time. This is not your issue.
My mechanic did say that you are probably needing to replace the PCV which has gone bad. He states the 4.2 is known for this.

Thanks for taking that info to your mechanic, it makes sense that it would for a coolant line because when I put pressure on the outlet it only came out in the back where I pointed in the video.
As for the problem, my complicated and expensive ($260 from ECS) PCV valve seems to be shot.
It's not the simple "pancake" style that is shown for the car but the long version with the diaphragm affixed to it.
I've posted another video showing the suction when removing the oil cap and the ROUGH idle that follows.
Everything I've read leads me to believe this is the PCV not performing as it should and needs replaced.
I also hear a loud vacuum leak sound near the valve itself.
Any other things I should try before spending the money?
