    has anyone here flashed their RNS-e from EU to US? i recently replaced my motherboard since it crapped out and need to have this done...

    Yes, I've done it. You just need to burn a disk with the appropriate files on it and put it in. Theres plenty of information on this if you search.

    the eeprom on my motherboard shit the bed so i have a euro motherboard in my US unit...

    my google fu has only led me to a few circa 2010-2011 threads that i've book marked...most of the RNS-e threads on other forums have a bunch of dead links in them...

    anyway, i bought a bunch of DVDs and am going to try using the vim-hack to make a software update CD...pulled off all the info from the engineering mode screen...

    ok, so i'm hoping someone can help me out here...

    i pulled this info from my RNS-e:



    then i copied the following files to a folder:

    -00.VNS
    -A2220141.MOT
    -INDEX.TXT
    -LDM.BIN
    -LOADING.KWI

    i used VIMhack to set source to EU and target to NA for the LOADING.KWI file, then i changed the numbers in INDEX.TXT to v220 and a222 to match the info in the photo, burned using NERO on the slowest speed and finalized disc...

    when i popped the DVD-r into the RNS-e it keeps showing up as "UNKNOWN FILES"...i tried to do v220 and a220 in the INDEX.TXT file and that didn't work either...

    halp me plox!!!!! i already poured through these threads in their entirety....

    ugh...i've just burnt like 8 or 9 DVDs with different combinations of codes trying to get this fu*ker to work....

    i finally got the damn thing to recognize that the CD is a software update CD/DVD...but it won't initiate the update...

    looks like i'll need to force it to update with a Vagcom...which i don't have...
