    Front Fender Screw

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Fitting some wider wheels/tires and was going to remove the screw along the edge of the front fender for good measure. I took the screw out and there is a plastic piece that is connected to the fender liner. Do I tuck this behind the tab or just cut it off? Assuming cutting it off would be better.

This is the screw and plastic piece:

I have been thinking of doing the same thing to help reduce rubbing. Does the liner look like it could sag down at all with the screw taken out?

It won't sag. That tab holds everything in place. I just wanted to know if people just cut of that plastic piece that flaps after you take the screw out.

    This.

You need a bit of force, but you can still be careful and pull the whole thing out.

I took mine off so I could stop the rub and haven't had a problem

Trying not to do many "undoable" mods, I tucked it up under the liner without pulling it off. You can tell by the screws it was a definite point of contact with my tires
