Why does ENLAES charge so much for their carbon aero pieces????

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi guys,

So I originally wanted to order an ENLAES trunk lid spoiler for my B8.5 s4 only to find out that they were re-manufacturing the mold due to overuse and quality control. Anyways, I was told the waiting time was 6-8 weeks so I decided to pass and wait. In the mean time I tried to research other alternatives spoilers for the B8/B8.5.

I came across a company called RW carbon, and was looking through their spoilers. Unfortunately they have almost no items for Audi's let alone the S4's, which brings me to my point. when going throigh their product line that is mainly aimed for BMWs and Mercedes I notice that their prices are significantly less then ENLAES. Now some of you might argue that the quality is better but that is a matter of opinion at this point since there isn't a comparable product in their lineup.

Since BMW and Mercedes are in the same price range as Audi's, how can ENLAES justify their HUGE markup? RW Carbon are not some cheap ebay/china replica company so what's the reason?

That's just my 2 cents, I'd definitely like to hear other peoples opinion on this.

***On a side note I notice the BMW F32 Perf. Style Carbon Fiber trunk spoiler to be very similar in looks to the ENLAES b8/B8.5 S4 trunk spoiler, what do you guys think? Check it out and let me know :)***

    well A. #auditax
and B. more importantly, there are FAR less audi's produced to similarly classed BMW's and Benz which means they will have a much smaller market to work with which is how they justify higher cost on parts. im not sure of the quality of the RW stuff but i know first hand the enlaes stuff is top notch!

ENLAES announced that they're stopping production of at least the deck lid spoilers and they're revising the mold for better quality and fit. Hopefully something good comes from it.

And to attest to quality. I have the rear CF diffuser. And it has a handful of defects. If I didn't get it for less than half new I would be pissed

Maybe send RW Carbon a note and ask if they can build a mold for Audi cars? Maybe if they can get a minimum commitment - they will go for it.

I know in the Subaru community - it took that same ideal for the Legacy - there are limited options for some parts - but companies would offer up their wares if demand was demonstrated with a guarantee of minimum group buy 1st.....

I had waited 5 months long ass with no response or answer phone calls. My sponsor guy wanna be their dealer in Houston, so i took a chance to order Enleas rear diffuser through him.
Money paid, and the waiting game began. I'm very patient and understand they have to hand made the product and take 1 to 2 months to finish. That was what they said also.
My guy became their dealer and ordered the diffuser for me. After 2 months with no follow check up or update for client, I asked my guy to call them but he said no one picked up the phone. it went straight to the voicemail after few rings.
3 months later, I contacted them and acted as a new buyer by sending message on their facebook. Guess what, they called me back right away since I left my phone number on their messenger. Nothing went crazy, I just nicely asked i have a guy buying rear diffuser from them and I want some updates. "It will be done next week" - they answered.
1 months later after that pretend new buyer phone call - they didnt answer my phone or my sponsor phone calls, or any messenger, even email. We made countless phone calls but no response.
Then a month later (total waiting time was 5 months) I told my guy to cancel it and refund my money back.

i only bought my enlaes rear spoiler because i got it new for a decent discount.

the quality control is less than spectacular - rough, unfinished edges, questionable fit on the ends. hopefully they fix those issues.

i have this lip from the manufacturer, not through them. keep in mind that it's only carbon on the face, and fiberglass where it's black. it's hollow too, not sure if the other solutions are or not but a good hit and it's toast.

This couldn't be better said. Pretty much same thing happened to me. I did get the diffuser but the quality sucked so I sent it back for a replacement which never came so I finally got my money back from the seller (not through Enlaes). The spoiler came and didn't fit my trunk (b8.5) and the quality again was sub par. For the price I was expecting MUCH better. Not to mention the WORST customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. Actually I take that back......It wasn't "bad" customer service...it was a total lack of service. They never returned my emails, messages through their online contact form or my voicemails. I love the look of their products but it's practically impossible to get them. Hoping when they fix the mold for the spoiler and get production going again MAYBE i'll try again.

Have been satified with quality of deval lip and valence, as well as ecs side mirrors in case you're considering any of those as cf options.

I actually contacted RW Carbon before I wrote this post and they basically told me Audi's aren't something they really focus on. It's too bad because there is a decent size market and with their prices as long as the quality is good they can take a decent size of the market share.

Ya I'm extremely happy with my deval rear diffuser and front lip. Great quality, still on the higher side of price range though.
