    HPX MAF connection

Hi guys. So I'm currently tuning my car and in the process have already pegged my MAF at 24psi on pump gas.

I'm thinking of getting an HPX sensor for its many benefits. One problem is connecting to our harness. I really don't want to cut up the engine harness and solder in the pigtail! Does anyone know of a way to connect it with out splicing the harness?

I'm thinking maybe swapping the electrical pins around in the oem harness? Possible to find a male connector somewhere?

    Any help is appreciated.

    HPX MAF connection

The HPX setups that I have seen require the new connector for the HPX Maf and wires to be spliced into the harness. Butt connectors work great for this instead of soldering. As far as male connection you could cut the male end off of a old Maf and solder wire to the back side of the pins to connect to the HPX pigtail but that might be a lot of work I have never done it just throwing out an idea. If you don't want to go through all the trouble of adding the HPX Maf you can always increase your Maf housing size and have NVR recalibrate your Maf Scaling.

Proper way to do it would be to de-pin the original connector and re-pin the HPX one.

EDIT: Not sure what style pins each one uses but you may be required to source proper pins for the HPX connector.

This is what I really would like to do. Could the proper pins be sourced easily?

If you don't want to cut, you will have to find the correct plug to fit the MAF plug and make a jumper.

I believe someone has done this, would be something to look into.

Ya I quickly googled to find a male hitachi MAF connector but no dice. Might need to search across another platform with the same MAF connection.

I still think re-pining is possible. Id have to look at the pins.
