Key in on position, no cel?

I'm having intermittent starting problems, as well as some other electrical issues and I'm wondering if it is related to relay 219 near the ecu. Sometimes my car will just crank and crank but won't start, if I get out and tap on the ecu box a few times eventually it will start. When it's not starting the cel will not illuminate when the key is in the on position, after I tap the box right I know it will start when the light illuminates again. I'm also getting eeprom error codes, 18048 I believe. Any chance it's that relay? Or maybe a failing ecu?

It's timing chains, your car is toast.

My first thought is the relays under the ECU, they're known to be prone to getting wet and becoming intermittent before failing.

This. I believe there is a thread in the RS4 section with the exact same issue. It says which relay to replace and you'll be fine.
